Our next promotion goes out to @JeanineDawn for her story The Bullies in my Midst.
This is a delicate story about bullying. This is what the author had to say.
The Bullies in my Midst isn’t like any teen bully story you’ve ever read before. The story centers around Sky, a young teen who has been bullied and abused since the age of three. Throughout the story, you will follow Sky’s journey from the time her grandfather discovered the abuse she was receiving from her mother, to her very breaking point. You will find out why Sky killed herself and why her mother, sisters, and boyfriend are to blame. Did Sky kill herself just because of the abuse or because of something sinister she did to relieve the never-ending pain they were enduring her?”
The Bullies in my Midst has 733 reads and 79 votes. It also gets comments like this one:
“That was a very intense read, your writing is very realistic especially on this delicate subject and I really do like the formatting of this. Great job and this needs more comment! :D”

Having a gruesome past, her future plans are interrupted when she is questioned by her old friend, Spencer Reid, who is now a detective for the FBI and is known as doctor. Violet’s attempt to hide her past is shoved in the other direction when the FBI finds her old bracelet at the shooting after hers. Follow Violet’s journey to get this case closed and try to pry her four year old son, Sebastian, away from his new-found friend, Spencer.”

Movie Review
Life of Pi

So, personally, I loved this movie. There were a few flaws that I saw in it, but overall I would give it about an 8 out of 10. "A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While cast away, he forms an unexpected connection with another survivor: a fearsome Bengal tiger." (IMDB)
So, let's discuss the cast and how I believe that they did in the movie. Everyone that was chosen for this movie did fantastic. I don't think they could have chosen anyone else without the movie's vibe being different. Suraj Sharma was the perfect Pi. I felt sympathy for him at the times that I should have, and I even cried with him when he killed his first fish. The specific scene sticks in my head. He was doing what he had to do to survive. He could have killed the tiger, Richard Parker, but he decided to help him survive despite the fact Richard Parker could have killed Pi within a split second. Another scene that sticks out in my mind was after Richard Parker jumped into the ocean to catch a fish. Overall, everyone did a great job.
Next is the length. I feel that it was too long but at the same time it was so nothing important was missed. I don't recall any scenes that could have been cut out. He was telling a story and he needed to include everything like a story would have. My only problem was that it's hard for me to focus on a movie for two hours. That's my only problem with Stephen King movies, also! But overall, the length was a bit long but it's understandable.
The storyline was probably my favorite part of the entire movie. It left you thinking about which of his stories was the truth. You got to see the one with the animals but the ending makes you question if it was the truth. I am still thinking about it two days after seeing the movie! The scene with the meerkats was magnificently done. It's a scene that points more toward it being unrealistic but it is a very beautiful scene. All the scenes with the hyena were realistic to me. I feel that everything the hyena did, from killing the zebra to not being able to jump on the cover that Pi was standing on, was something at a hyena might do. This movie's storyline was definitely the best part of the movie.
This movie is one of my favorite movies now. It was magnificantely done and put my mind to work. It's a movie that inspired me to always persevere. No matter how bad the situation, anything could happen. Always have hope and never give up.

Beginnings

Hello everyone! My name is Adalynn Jean. I would first like to inform you that that is not my real name! I actually have two aliases because I am not prepared to debut with my real name just yet.
I would first like to start off by thanking you for checking out my newspaper (even though it hasn't technically started yet!). I'm going to try to post weekly but sometimes it will be biweekly.
I would like to know what you all want to see in my online newspaper. Below I'm going to list the sections that I have already decided on:
1. Movie Reviews-
This will be a section that reviews movies, obviously. It will not be professional reviews, though. I will talk about how I thought the movie was, how the actors were, if it's worth the time and money, and other thoughts about it. I will also put at the bottom a list of movies that I could review next. That will give my readers (you guys and gals) a chance to decide what you want to see me review next.

2. Upcoming Novels-
In this section, I will list some novels that are going to be released in the next week and a brief summary of what each story is about. I will try to get famous authors like Stephen King, James Patterson, Nicholas Sparks, Janet Evanovich, and many more.

3. Stories on Wattpad-
My other alias is used to post stories that I have written on the internet. One of the sites I post on is Wattpad. This section will provide people on Wattpad to get their name out. I will be allowing the authors to suggest either their novels or other novels. And I will be posting this section on Wattpad. I will try my best not to repeat stories.

4. Novels to Check Out-
This will list novels that I believe people should check out. I may not be able to read each and every novel that I put in this section. It will vary from older novels to newer ones. This will only list one novel a week.

5. Albums/Singles Being Released-
If you are not interested in books or movies, here is where I will discuss albums or singles being released the following week. If you have any suggestions, let me know. I will be using iTunes to find these albums. I will also list pre-order prices and, is possible, price after it's released. I will tell you the name of the singer or band and the album or single name, the number of tracks on the CD and possible the names, and genre.

6. Movies Coming Soon-
This is for movies that are being released the week after each issue. It will give a general summary. I will be using IMDB to figure out what movies are being released. Included with be the title, release date, main actors, a link to the trailer on Youtube, and a link to the IMDB site.

If you have any other suggestions, don't hesitate to comment and let me know. I would always love to add what my readers would like to see. I will try to post every Friday.
Thank you for reading this and I hope you continue to read the newspaper.
